It was done. The last episode was filmed, the house was on the market, their furniture, boxes and Jared’s SUV on moving vans headed to Jensen’s house in LA. The dogs had been sent ahead so that by the time they got to the border, they’d be through quarantine.
They stood inside the front door looking out at Jensen’s truck, packed with their duffels and all the things you need when traveling with two large dogs.
Neither moved, they barely breathed. When they step outside and shut the door, they will be leaving the world that has insulated their relationship from many harsh realities.
They exchange a look of determination, join hands and passing to the next milestone, step out into the morning light.
